To run a MEPSIM simulation, you must first accept our Terms and Conditions

I accept the Terms and Conditions for using MEPSIM

Terms and Conditions for Using MEPSIM

1. Ownership
MEPSIM is owned by the Pension Analytics Group. We retain all trademarks, copyright and other intellectual property rights associated with MEPSIM.

2. Free Access
You may use MEPSIM free of charge, but we reserve the right to change this policy at any time.

3. Liability
The Pension Analytics Group shall not be held liable for any damages that might arise from your use of MEPSIM.

4. Publishing MEPSIM Simulation Results
If you publish -- either online or in paper form -- any simulation results generated by MEPSIM, you must (1) indicate that MEPSIM was used to generate the result and (2) list the assumption settings that you entered into MEPSIM. You may provide this information either in the body of your published text or in a footnote. Releasing a simulation result without also providing your readers with the associated assumption settings will be grounds for terminating your access to MEPSIM.

5. MEPSIM is not a substitute for a detailed model of an individual pension plan
MEPSIM simulates the entire multiemployer system, which is compromised of more than 1300 pension plans. Because it is not possible to gather detailed data for each individual pension plan, MEPSIM uses 5500 data which provides information about the aggregate state of each pension plan but does not provide granular information such as the distribution of plan participants and their accrued benefits by age and sex. As a consequence, MEPSIM's simulation results are rough estimates, and should not be used as the sole basis upon which to make reform decisions for an individual pension plan. To evaluate options for an individual plan, there is no substitute for a model with detailed plan-specific data developed by an actuarial consulting firm.
If you agree with these terms and conditions, please scroll upwards and check the Accept box.
